Yup, recount text is the kind of text that tell the reader a past event. It usually the past event of the writer, so using I or we. It’s using verb 2.
You know that the generic structure of recount text is Orientation, Events, Re-orientation.
Example of recount text :
A few months ago when holiday, my friends and I go to Banjarmasin. We went there by bus at 8 a.m. I sat beside my best friend, named Vivi.
We arrived in Banjarmasin at 12 p.m. When we arrived there, we went to restaurant to have lunch. After that, we went to waterboom. We felt happy there. After satisfied, we went to Duta Mall and shopping there. Then, after Duta Mall closed we went to Kapuas. We went to the hotel there.
The next day, we were jogging there and enjoynthe scenery of Kapuas. Then, at 1 p.m we back to Palangka Raya.
That was the great holiday on my mind. I love them so much, but we rare meet now because we have different school with other friends.
